While the sparkling finish of silver on arm chairs and garden chairs offers splendid class and style, silver stools look graceful, exquisite and provide a vibrant look to both the interiors and exteriors. Generally carved in traditional Indian and Victorian style with beautiful enamelling work, they can ideally be placed to compliment the kitchen or dining area, bedrooms and living rooms.

N A Khan, chief executive officer of Brass Wood Designers says, "Sofa sets are in great demand. We make customised furniture for our customers according to their preference, which can cost anywhere between three to four lakh."

The process includes rolling the sheets and hammering, punching and re-carving on the wooden fine carved surfaces.
Rajasthan, Kashmir, Orissa and Gujarat are the major centres for silverware in India and therefore, most skilled craftsmen come from these regions.
"These pieces of furniture are put together by our in-house team of designers to create a theme followed and backed up by our craftsmen essentially coming from Udaipur and Jaipur. They are put together to suit the ecliptic taste of young corporate executives. There are no set timelines to get this creative form of art into reality, but as per our experience of producing it, we give timelines of 6-12 weeks to clients," says Narula.
Apart from the furniture there are a variety of accessories and silver ware such as statues, photo-frames, vases, containers, bar accessories and sterling silver cutlery that will add a touch of royal elegance to your home.
But the precious metal does require a bit of maintenance and extra care to sustain its sparkle.
"Silver needs regular maintenance. Polish it every month depending on weather conditions. If there is moisture, pure silver has a tendency to become black. It requires polishing and buffing periodically to maintain its original form and sheen," Narula explains.
